Who holds your data

Viswell makes software used by aesthetic clinicians during consultations. The clinic that scans you, not Viswell, holds your records and decides what happens to them. Viswell does not receive, store, or have access to your scans, photographs or chart.

This page describes what the software does. Your clinic's own privacy notice governs what the clinic does, and your clinic is who you contact to see, correct or delete your record.

What the app collects

• Photographs taken during the visit (front and profile photos and clinical photographs) and anything drawn on them during the visit
• 3D face geometry from the device's TrueDepth camera, captured during a face scan to guide consistent photos, and only after you, or a parent or guardian, sign the Face Scan Consent in the app
• Notes the clinician types, and documents you sign in the app
• Skin-visualization overlays, if you sign that separate consent
• Chart information your clinic enters: name, contact details, address, documents it uploads, and, if your clinic scans an ID at intake, a photograph of that ID

The app does not show or report measurements, scores or grades of your face or skin.

The app also reads the clinic device's calendar and reminders to show upcoming appointments. Those are displayed only: never stored in the app, never exported, never transmitted.

Where it goes

Normally: nowhere

Everything above is stored on the clinic's device. It is not synced to Apple iCloud, it is left out of iCloud and computer backups of the device unless the clinic chooses otherwise, and it is not transmitted to Viswell or to Apple. Your face geometry never leaves the device, except inside an encrypted backup the clinic creates or a device backup the clinic switches on. Patient information leaves it only in the three cases below.

If you sign the separate skin-visualization consent

One cropped photograph of your face, with no name, chart or camera metadata, is sent to Perfect Corp. for analysis, through an account Viswell manages for your clinic, and appearance overlays are returned. The photo shows your face and can identify you.

Signing is optional, it changes nothing about your care, and you can withdraw it at any time. It covers future visits until you withdraw it.

If you pay a deposit

Payments are handled by Stripe on a Stripe-hosted page you open on your own device. Card details never pass through the app and Viswell never sees them.

To open that page the app asks Viswell's payment service to create it, and sends only the amount, the currency, a payment category (for example "Consultation deposit") and an identifier for the practice's device. It never sends your name, your record, or what was performed. Viswell keeps a ledger of those amounts for the practice's account.

Anything your clinic chooses to share

A PDF visit record, an export, an email or a calendar entry goes where the clinic sends it. Exported files are removed from the device when the share sheet closes.

What never happens

• Your data is never sold.
• It is never used for advertising, marketing or profiling.
• It is never shared except as described above.
• No analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting service receives anything about you.
• The app does not track you across other apps or websites.
• Face geometry is never used to identify or authenticate anyone. It is not Face ID and it is not facial recognition.

How long it is kept, and how to delete it

The app does not delete your data on a timer. Your record, including face geometry, is kept until someone deletes it: the practice, or you on request.

Your practice sets and follows its own written retention and destruction schedule under the law that applies to it, including Illinois BIPA § 15(a) and Texas CUBI § 503.001 where those apply. Ask your practice what its schedule is.

To have your data deleted, ask your clinic. A clinician deletes your entire record, including photographs and documents, from the Patients list. That removes the app's copy on the device. It does not reach copies the clinic already exported or backed up, or Perfect Corp.'s copy of a skin photo, which is deleted within 30 days.

Biometric information

The app captures biometric identifiers (face geometry) as defined under Illinois BIPA, Texas CUBI and equivalent state laws, and only after you, or a parent or guardian, sign the Face Scan Consent in the app.

That face geometry is used only to guide consistent photos, is stored on the clinic's device only, is never sold and is never disclosed to any third party. It is kept with your record until the practice deletes it, or you ask for deletion.

A photograph of your face may also count as biometric information under those same laws. Photographs stay on the device unless you sign the separate skin-visualization consent.

You can withdraw the Face Scan Consent at any time by telling the practice. Biometric data is destroyed when it is deleted, by the practice or at your request.

Your choices

• The face scan requires your signed consent before the first one. You may decline, and the clinic can take ordinary photos instead.
• Skin visualization is separate and optional. Decline or withdraw at any time without affecting your care.
• Deletion: ask your clinic at any time.
• A copy of your record: your clinic can export it as PDFs, photos, signed documents, CSV logs and a summary. Viswell does not charge for exports.

Children

Viswell is a professional tool for licensed clinicians and is not directed at children. Before first use it asks whoever is holding the device to attest that they are a licensed clinician or authorized clinic staff. Where the person being scanned is a minor, a parent or guardian can sign the app's consent forms, and the practice is responsible for any parental consent the law applying to it requires.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes and the in-app copy changes with it.
